An affiliate relationship is a partnership between Farviva and an experience platform where Farviva earns a commission when visitors make a booking through our referral links. This is a standard business model used by many travel websites, comparison platforms, and content creators.

When you click on a link to a partner platform from Farviva, the platform identifies that you came from our site using a special tracking code (our affiliate ID). If you complete a qualifying booking, the platform pays us a referral fee. This doesn't change anything about your booking process or the price you pay.

We participate in affiliate programs because it allows us to run and maintain Farviva, continually improve the site, and add more destinations and platforms — all while keeping the service free for our users.

3. How Commissions Work

When you click a partner link on Farviva and make a qualifying booking on the partner platform, we receive a commission. Here are the key details:

Commission source: Commissions are paid by the partner platforms directly to Farviva. They are not added to your booking price.
Commission amount: Commission rates vary by platform and product category. They typically range from 5% to 25% of the booking value, depending on the partner agreement.
Tracking method: Tracking is done through cookies or affiliate IDs appended to the URLs. The tracking window (the time you have to make a booking after clicking) varies by platform, typically 7-30 days.
No payment from you: You never pay Farviva directly for bookings. All payments and transactions are handled directly by the partner platforms.

4. No Extra Cost to You

Using our affiliate links does not cost you anything extra. The price you pay for an experience is exactly the same whether you book through our link or go directly to the platform's website. The commission comes from the platform's own marketing budget, not from your booking price.

In some cases, affiliate partners may offer exclusive discounts or promotions to Farviva users. If such offers are available, we clearly highlight them on the relevant pages.

5. Editorial Independence

Our editorial independence matters. We believe in being upfront about how we're funded, and we want you to trust that our platform selections are based on genuine quality assessments.

We choose who we partner with. We select platforms based on their reputation, the quality of their experiences, their customer service, and their local expertise. We don't feature platforms just because they offer affiliate programs.
